The Haven 12-1/2 is a modification of the timeless Herreshoff 12-1/2 designed by the incomparable Joel White. The Haven has all the features of her inspiration: a stable and forgiving sail, the ability to single-hand or sail with your entire family, and the classic look that turns heads on the water, with the added convenience of a shoal draft with the centerboard.
Lily was meticulously built in 2019 and has been lightly sailed since then. Even today, she remains in “Bristol Condition”. She is planked in Atlantic White Cedar over a White Oak stem bent frames and centerline. All fastenings are bronze. She has Honduran Mahogany seats, coamings, transom, and interior trim. Her gaff rig is made from Sika Spruce with Sperry Sails. All hardware is authentic Herreshoff replica bronze from JM Reineck & Son. She is stored at East Passage Boatwrights in Bristol, RI in their outside cover storage facility.
Lily comes with a brand-new galvanized Triad Float Off Trailer (2023), making it easy to launch and transport yourself. She is a remarkable boat and is ready to go sailing as soon as the weather gets warmer.
